Chocolate Sunday at Cacao Anasa

Chocolate lovers of San Francisco rejoice!

Anthony Ferguson, boutique chocolatier and proprietor of Cacao Anasa Chocolates is opening his kitchen to a few invited guests to roll up their sleeves and walk through the creation of fine, high-end chocolates.

During the three hours, participants work at small group workstations set up for making rich ganache truffles, decadent chocolate cookies, spiced hot chocolate, tempering and bars, a coconut milk chocolate soup, and chocolate cocktails. Participants get to sample everything throughout the event, and whatever creations you don9t devour are yours to take home, along with memories of an afternoon of delicious fun.

Our October event will be same Chocolate Sunday you9ve come to know and love, but with a few holiday and seasonal extras! As we prepare for the event, Anthony is coming up with a new recipe for a Halloween Spiced Chocolate Mousse!

All participants will also receive a $5 credit toward any purchases of Cacao Anasa9s lineup of artisan chocolates and bars to share with family and friends ($20 order minimum).

Seating is VERY limited (capped at 25 participants), and we expect another quick sellout.

Also, commuters should note that the Muni T-line stops a half-block away on 3rd Street (Mariposa Station). And if you are traveling to Chocolate Sunday from outside of San Francisco, BART connects with the Muni T-line at the Embarcadero Station.

For those looking for something to do after the Chocolate Workshop there are a couple of Sunday afternoon hang-out spots near the kitchen - The Ramp and Jelly9s. Both are on the bay and have Sunday afternoon/early evening (4pm) salsa music, dancing and cocktails.

The Ramp is closer (2 blocks) and primarily outdoors; Jelly9s is more of a club setting with a bit more polished vibe. Jelly9s is a short drive from my kitchen.

Those who are interested and want to make chocolates and then change into their dancing shoes (most appropriate for Jelly9s), can do so in the kitchen9s bathroom after the workshop.
