2007 Room to Read Toronto Kick-Off

Get Involved Toronto!

Your Toronto Chapter of Room to Read has set some ambitious fundraising targets for 2007!  We need your help.  Get involved, by volunteering your time, helping us with fundraising or getting the word out about this fantastic organization!  As a new chapter in the Room to Read organization, we are fresh off our inaugural event late last year that saw us raise over $28,000.  This year we are looking to build on that sucess -  building more and more schools and providing more and more long-term scholarships for girls in developing countries who need them.

Come out on Wednesday, May 2nd 2007 to kick-off our 2007 fundraising initiatives.  It9s a chance to meet with fellow Torontonians who share a passion for helping to educate the world9s children.  As existing members it9s a chance to regroup - for new members - it9s a great opportunity to learn more about this organization and how you can help.  Bring your friends and we9ll use our time together to talk about our fundraising plans for this year and to gain your help in organizing these events.  We9ll also talk about a Mother9s Day fundraising initiative that we can all get started on right away!

If you9ve read the book, "Leaving Microsoft to Change the World" or if you caught John Wood on Oprah earlier this month - you9ll know how special this organization is.  Room to Read needs your help - let9s discuss and brainstorm different ideas about how you can run your own fundraising initiatives for this event.
