Cyber Liability and Information Risk: What Can Your Business Afford?

The complexity of information systems in today's business world is mind boggling.  The risks to the data handled by these systems are equally complex.  Information risks include threats to information technology systems and the intangible property handled by those systems.  Recent reports from the leading information security firms indicate an evolutionary shift of the information security threat from experimentation toward organized cyber crime.

During this workshop we will review the categories of information risks as well as strategies for managing and even mitigating risks such as:

  • First-party risks sustained by your company:

·        Loss of data

·        Loss of business income

·        Virus/hacker/sabotage

·        Theft and extortion

  • Third-party risks related to your liability:

·        Privacy injury liability

·        Network security liability

·        Content liability

(2.5 HRCI credits are available upon completion of this workshop)
