Wednesday, September 2, 2009 - Rockville, Gaithersburg & Germantown Chapters Business Leaders Luncheon, Hilton Hotel, Gaithersburg, MD.

The Gaithersburg and Germantown Chapters

of the

Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

cordially invite you to their

Monthly Business Leaders Luncheon

"Why is in the best interest of our society to eliminate once and for all drunk driving"

Despite 40 years of unrelenting efforts at the local, state and federal level to reduce drunk driving, in 2007  12,000 died in alcohol-impaired crashes and tens of thousands more were injured. The fact is that three in ten Americans will be involved in alcohol-related crash in their lives.  Drunk driving cost us a huge amount in terms of death, hospitalization, rehabilitation and continuing medical care, and productivity. Alcohol abude continues to prey on the Hispanic community. It is time for us to own up to this problem and begin to work with legislators, law enforcement and nonprofit grousp like Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). This is a call to action for our Chamber to be actively engaged in combating drunk driving just as much as we have been in the past working against the sale of tobacco and alcohol products to minors.
