What is a Kettlebell?


A 'kettlebell' or girya (Russ.) is a traditional Russian cast iron weight that looks like a hunk of iron, kind of like a canon ball with a thick handle. While it seems primitive, and it is on purpose, it will get you the best results of your life.

Kettlebells melt fat without the dishonor of dieting or aerobics. Kettlebells forge doers' physiques along the lines of antique statues: broad shoulders with just a hint of pecs, back muscles standing out in bold relief, wiry arms, rugged forearms, a cut-up midsection, and strong legs without a hint of squatter's chafing.

2. What Should I bring? Water, a towel, flat shoes or be prepared to train barefoot. Bring a yoga mat if you have one.

3. An hour workout? Are you crazy? You won't be working out for the entire hour, don't worry. These sessions are an opportunity to get your hands on a kettlebell and experience the potential benefits for your workout. But, this is a hands on experience so be prepared to sweat a little.
