SFMOGRAPH Thursday April 30th

This month Adobe’s Kevan O’Brien will take walk us through the latest CS4 updates released at NAB

Guest Presenter: Mark Coleran

Mark Coleran is a visual designer who has worked in a broad range of design disciplines from print graphics to motion design. His work in motion graphics ranged from television show titles and branding through to his specialist area; the design, creation and animation of fantasy user interfaces for films. Over the years this work has seen him create interfaces for films such as The Bourne Ultimatum, Tomb Raider, Mission Impossible 3, The Island and Mr and Mrs Smith. Currently he is working with Canadian software developer, Gridiron Software. He is creating the user experience and interface for a next generation creative workflow application; Flow.

Mark will be showing the work he has created and leading a discussion on the thinking behind his designs and their application. He will also explain how his background in screen design was a natural transition to the thinking and ideas behind Flow, along with a brief introduction to the new software.

GridIron Flow

Be totally organized without organizing anything.

Flow is the world's first Visual Workflow Manager, built from the ground up to keep creative professionals streamlined and informed. Flow gives you a total understanding of your project, visually and intuitively. In one simple interface, you'll see all your project files, how they're related to each other, and where they're located—on a local drive, on a network volume, even on a DVD you burned a few months ago.

This new birds-eye-view of your project gives you instant access to any file you need—and any version of that file, even if you've overwritten it while making changes. Flow even alerts you if you try to modify or delete a file that you shouldn't. Bottom line: no more lost files, no more accidents, and no more all-nighters. You'll find yourself delivering everything right the first time—without doing anything different.
