Pittsburg Town Meeting

Our country is experiencing the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, but Congress and President Obama are working full time to get our economy back on track.

The recently-enacted American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was one important first step in moving our community forward.

I am hosting a town meeting at the Pittsburg Senior Center on Wednesday between 7:30 p.m and 8:30 p.m. to talk about what we are doing in Washington to help create jobs, modernize our crumbling schools, prevent crime, and improve local roads and highways.

I also want to hear from you about how today’s difficult economic environment has impacted our community.

We’ll also discuss the steps Congress and the President are taking to deal with the housing crisis, climate change, and making quality health care more affordable.
