The Melva Lind Interpretive Center is located in the Linnaeus Arboretum on the south end of Gustavus Adolphus College campus. Directions to the Interpretive Center are at

There are two parking lots in front of the Interpretive Center.  The one to the right (west) as you face the building has designated visitor parking on the side closest to the center.  Our host, Dr. James Dontje from the Johnson Center for Environmental Innovation, will contact security to clear that CERT guests can park in all spots, even those marked faculty/staff, if needed.

We plan to take a couple of 10 passenger vans to the solar thermal site once we all meet at the Melva Lind building.  Please RSVP so that we can get a fairly accurate head count.

3:30 pm     Meet at the Melva Lind building. The system we will be visiting is under construction now and there is a very good chance it will be fully operational. Dr. Dontje will explain what the CERTs-funded system at the Interpretive Center will look like as well.

3:45 pm     Tour the solar thermal installation.

4:45pm      Meeting at the Melva Lind building. Topics will include meeting new steering committee members, discuss Region 9/South Central CERT work, discuss wind development and other clean energy projects and initiatives in the south central area.

5:30 pm      Adjourn
