Women's Event - Sharon Hersh

Speaker, author and teacher Sharon Hersh will be at Crossroads Thursday, October 16, 6:00-9:00 pm (No child care will be provided for this event.)

Deep within each of us is a holy longing for relationships -- for a romance that sweeps us off our feet, for friendships that are life-giving, and for times with our family that are meaningful. During this mini-conference we will talk about God's heart for us when He breathed into our hearts the desire for relationships. We'll examine the disappointments, difficulties, and daily realities that can keep us from the extraordinary relationships that we were created for, and we'll discover the key to unlocking our heart to love with abandon! "Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it -- because it does!" 1 Corinthians 14:1.

Sharon Hersh is a licensed professional counselor, author, and speaker. She is the Director of Women's Recovery & Renewal, a ministry of retreat for struggling women and their caregivers. She is the author of Bravehearts: Unlocking the Courage to Love With Abandon and more recently, the critically acclaimed The Last Addiction: Why Self-Help is Not Enough. She is also the author of four parenting books, including Mom, I Feel Fat! and Mom, Sex is NO Big Deal. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and retreats as well as an adjunct professor in several graduate counseling programs. She lives in Lone Tree, Colorado.
