Topic: "The Economic state of the County and future development of downtown Silver Spring."
About the Speaker: Ms. Valerie Ervin, the first African American woman to serve on the Montgomery County Council, has a history of service to the County with a strong focus on improving the County’s public education system and enhancing educational opportunities for students. As a Silver Spring resident for more than two decades, she is keenly aware of the issues that affect District 5 and is committed to a proactive legislative agenda that will improve the lives of residents. Special Lunch Menu: Ceviche Restaurant has prepared a special menu for us.
Sopa de lentejas - Yellow lentil soup with a hint of toasted cumin; or
Ensalada Caesar - Romaine lettuce with yucca croutons tossed in Caesar dressing and parmesan cheese; or
Ensalada Caribeña - Mixed greens, plantains, red onions, scallions and a passion fruit-shallot vinaigrette.
Salmón a la Parilla - Grilled Salmon with salsa crilolla and quinoa salad; or
Ají de Gallina - Pulled chicken in Aji Amarillo cream with potatoes and topped with roasted pecans, parmesan cheese and cilantro. Served with rice; or
Lomo Saltado - Tender beef medallions, onions, tomatoes, and french fries sautéed in soy sauce and wine reduction. Served over rice.
Helados Tropicales: An assortment of tropical fruit ice cream.
Tea, assortment of sodas, and coffee (other alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks are to be paid separately by the guest).
Admission: $20 for Members and $25 for non-members.
