Speaker: Deborah Everhart, Director, Office of Economic Development, City of Hagerstown, MD.

About the Speaker: Ms. Deborah Everhart is the Director of Economic Development for the City of Hagerstown.  Ms. Everhart has held this position since May, 1983.  Ms. Everhart is responsible for conducting the City’s economic development programs, including development and implementing Hagerstown’s strategic plan for downtown revitalization and City-wide development and growth.  In addition, Ms. Everhart is responsible for recruitment of new businesses, recruitment and facilitation of annexations, implementation of business retention and expansion plans, assistance with marketing and promotion efforts related to economic development, and creation of incentive programs.  From 1978 to 1983 Ms. Everhart served as the City’s Zoning Administrator/Development Coordinator in the Planning Department for the City.
