Whiffenpoofs' Western Centennial Celebration

Gentlemen Songsters:

Your Western Whiffenpoofs’ Centennial Committee is pleased to invite your participation in a weekend of revelry in San Francisco, as we gear up for the October celebration in New Haven.  This stop will give us a chance to tune up our voices and parts, to make plans, to celebrate our heritage, and to renew old friendships in some of San Francisco’s most beautiful settings.

We will need your responses to this invitation by April 17, 2009, in order to confirm the details of the events, and, as some venues are not expandable, I urge you to reserve your places as soon as you possibly can.

Here’s the lineup of scheduled events:

San Francisco is an expensive city, but we are fortunate to have secured the use of the bedrooms at the Pacific-Union Club, inexpensive but elegant quarters (starting at under $100/double/night) that include free parking, in the city's toniest neighborhood.  There are available overflow bedrooms a block away at the University Club.    Please DO NOT call these clubs directly.  You must make reservations through me.  To avail yourself of this opportunity, email me, Bill "Clark" Barnard, wmbarnard@aya.yale.edu, as soon as possible to be sure you make a reservation before they are booked.

Note, too, that there is a very slight chance that an event will not elicit the level of interest and participation necessary to make it practical, in which case there will be full refunds.
