Wilderness First Aid - Sept 17-19, 2009

Adventure Medic - 40 hour equivalent

Pre-requisite: Standard First Aid/CPR or Wilderness First Aid

Based on Wilderness Medical Association guidelines, this is a basic level course for individuals who lead groups on day trips, or for anyone planning on being on short wilderness excursions.

Includes: Workbook, CPR guide, use of wide range of first aid materials, and certification upon demonstration of competence.

Sept 17 & 18: Haysboro Elem - Area 5 conference Room (8a.m.-4p.m)


Sept 19: Outdoors - West Bragg Creek Area - full day

CBE teachers - register online - send $60 cheque payable to Calgary Board of Education via school mail to Pat Faubert,  , Curriculum and Learning Technologies, Manning Centre; Be sure to complete "Authorization to Travel Within Alberta Form" available in CBE staff room ---keep for your own records...this is required as the 3rd day is outside of the city of Calgary.

Morning snacks will be provided....please bring bag lunch lunch & water bottle as we will be taking a short lunch break in order to be complete by 4 p.m.


Non-CBE teachers - schools to be invoiced after the course.
