Please join us at Rogers Free Library in Bristol, RI for a town meeting style discussion about the economy, the stock market, and you! This workshop will be facilitated by Stephen Vachon, a distinguished leader in the financial services industry. He will provide you with insight and perspective on the economy and what it means for your portfolio. You will be given the information and tools you need to assess your portfolio, make appropriate investment decisions, and determine if you are on track for the retirement of your dreams.

Stephen Vachon

Business PhotoStephen started his career in the financial services industry with John Hancock selling insurance. He later became a mentor for their "Fast Start Program" responsible for training new agents on long-term care insurance policy design and recommendation. Stephen was ranked in the top 10 nationally for the "Fast Start Program" in 2002.

In 2001 Stephen became a registered representative with Signator Investors. While with Signator Stephen's focus was on retirement income planning and asset preservation. In 2004 Stephen left Signator Investors to join Investors Capital Corporation to focus on investment management, retirement planning, and wealth transfer. He concurrently accepted a position with Genworth Financial (at the time it was GE capital Assurance) as General Agent responsible for the support and oversight of several agents in Rhode Island.

Stephen Founded Vachon Financial Group in 2005. Today, the primary focus of Stephen's practice is fee based investment management and retirement income planning. In 2006 Stephen was honored with the ING Excellence Award for his work in retirement income planning. In 2007 he became an instructor for the Bristol County Adult Education Program teaching a comprehensive retirement planning class. Most recently Stephen was named to the advisory board of Senior Market Advisor magazine, a leading industry publication for financial advisors.
