2010 Family Dynamics Exploring Self-Sufficiency Train-The-Trainer Conference - Presented by Mable Jones, The Jones Connection

The Family Dynamics Conference, sponsored by THE JONES CONNECTION, will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on January 14-17, 2010.  The conference will utilize a train-the-trainer format.  The train-the-trainer curriculum will assist staff in the development and implementation of the Family Partnership Agreements.

The EXPLORING SELF-SUFFICIENCY series used in this training is designed to help parents increase their knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • Identifying sources of stress and dealing with stress reduction
  • Utilizing financial planning and money management techniques
  • Recognizing employment opportunities and alternative methods of income generation
  • Analyzing the need for sources of supportive services

This conference has been planned with the critical needs of Head Start families and staff in mind.  Attendance and active participation will prove to be beneficial to all attendees, both during the conference and afterward at their respective agencies.

Who should attend?  Head Start directors, Family & Community Partnership staff, Male Involvement coordinators, Parent Involvement coordinators, Education staff, Policy Council/Policy Committee members, and members of Boards of Directors. CEU credits will be issued.
