Stu has broken records all over the place.  Here are just some of his stunning accomplishments:

  • 3 consecutive American 100-Mile Road Race Records in the US National Championships 1980-1982.
  • His fastest 100-Mile Run - 12 hours 56 minutes.
  • In 1986, he astounded the ultra-distance running world when he won the 1,000 Mile World Championship and set a new world record by running the distance - 1,000 miles in 11 days, 20 hours 36 min. 56 sec.
  • 3 consecutive American Records in the 6-Day Race, the final one being set in 1985 at the University of Colorado Field House. Stu American record, which still stands: 577.75 miles in 6 Days!
  • In 1994, Stu became the first and only American ever to win the prestigious 6-day race in La Rochelle, France.
  • In 2000, Stu decided to put his principles of endurance to the test, embarking on a 3,000-mile journey from San Diego to New York City. He finished in a remarkable 56 days! That's more than two marathons a day for 56 consecutive days!
  • On Dec 31, 2008, Stu became the sixth American - the third American male - to be inducted into the American Ultrarunning Hall of Fame.

Stu has worked with Anthony Robbins, Billy Baldwin, and Elle Macpherson.  He has appeared on ABC News, Nightline, Good Morning America, The Today Show, CBS This Morning, CBS Sports Saturday, the CBS Evening News, Good Day New York, ESPN, and CNN.

He has degrees in Sociology, Sports Psychology, and Exercise Physiology.

Stu also served as a coach for the Anthony Robbins company and was a trainer for 11 years at Life Mastery.
