Putting Down Roots: Raingardens in Residential Settings

• Please arrive between 6:10 and 6:20 p.m. and check in with the person with the clipboard.
• Food and drink are permitted, provided that any items from Mississippi Market must be ordered at their deli or paid for at the register.
You will be provided with written materials but will want to bring a pencil and notebook, preferably with a hard back as you will not be seated in a desk or at a table.

Mississippi Market is located at 1500 West 7th Street (aka Fort Road, aka Hiway 5) in St. Paul.
Mississippi Market has requested that workshop participants **please park on the street ** and not in the parking lot due to space. Street parking is available on West 7th, Perlman, or Adrian streets.

  • If you are familiar with this area, here are written-out directions from I-35E:
    Exit at West 7th Street/Hwy. 5/Fort Rd. and head northeast on West 7th Street. (Left if you are coming from the  north; right if from the south.) Go roughly three blocks and the store will be on your right, at the corner of Perlman and West 7th Street. Street parking is available on West 7th, Perlman, or Adrian Street.Do not park in store lot, please.
  • The workshop room is located just inside the doors that open from the parking lot, on the ground floor and to the right. Customer Service is just inside the doors as well if you need assistance.

Friends of the Mississippi River is hosting this event with the support of program partners Metro Conservation Districts and Capitol Region Watershed District.
