Most of us find a job, earn money, get married, raise a family and one day wonder “Is that all there is to my life?” Presentations will focus on the many facets of our lives and ask some poignant questions that will have you thinking about your life and lifestyle.

For seven years, the Pathways to Success Conference has been a joint effort of two of the leading business women’s organizations in Central Illinois, Women in Leadership of Central Illinois and the Central Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, this year’s inspiring program, Living Your Passion, will entertain, educate and provide participants with practical tools they can put to use in their daily lives.

About the Keynote:

PatriciaThis presentation on is based on the best-selling book What Should I Be When I Grow Up Now That I’m 40-50-60? This presentation will not only share how this happened to us, but will also ask some poignant questions that will get you thinking about your own life and lifestyle.

We are all going to die. . the goal is to LIVE until we die Patricia Noel Drain is an international author and professional speaker with over 20 years experience as a business owner in the executive profession in Phoenix, Arizona. After interviewing thousands of people, Patricia realized that the majority of people are not happy with what they are doing on the job or with their lifestyle, but simply do not know how to make a change.

She is the recipient of the National Association of Personnel Services “Hall of Fame Award," the most highly acclaimed award of its kind. The Working Woman Magazine presented Patricia with the "Most Innovative Business Practice Award" and she was voted one of the "100 Most Influential People in Arizona" by the Phoenix Business Journal. She is also the recipient of "Woman Business Owner of the Year" presented by the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Helping thousands around the world discover the secrets of successful interviewing; Patricia authored a book, HIRE ME! Secrets of Job Interviewing, which has been published in nine languages. She has also authored six other books with her newest release, What Should I Be When I Grow Up Now That I’m 40-50-60?  Feeling that we all need a strong foundation about who and what we are to prepare us for life, Patricia also wrote I Love Myself, a children’s book and tape on self-esteem.

DinaWomen have many strengths. In this session we will explore how to team our passion with our personal strengths to make a bigger difference in our professional lives.

Presented by Dina Emser.  She is a Certified Professional Development Coach who helps entrepreneurs and corporate leaders use their strengths to reach their goals. In her previous life, Dina was a classroom teacher and elementary/middle school principal. In 2000, she was certified by the Coaches Training Institute as a Certified Professional Coach.

The Happiness Quotient:  How To Improve Yours
LoriPresented by Dr. Lori Russell-Chapin.  She is a member of NAWBO and is a professor of education in the Department of Educational Leadership and Human Development at Bradley.  Dr. Russell-Chapin was the department chair for 11 years and currently holds the position of associate dean of the College of Education and Health Sciences. Her current research involves writing a field experience textbook that is being published by Brooks/Cole. She continues to research in the area of marital distress and predictors of distress, and recently co-authored a book on conflict resolution. She has worked with homeless youth and consulted with several agencies in the Peoria area.
