Prevent Strategy Training

The focus of the training is to support delivery of Prevent strategy objectives, through supporting cultural organisations, Creative Agents, arts/education consultants and educators by giving them the knowledge they need in order to work confidently with the Prevent strategy.


Workshop begins with a live theatre performance:  

“Hearts and Minds” by Khayaal Theatre Company


Training will also include:

·          Preventing Violent Extremism - understanding the strategy

·          Information about the DCSF toolkit ' Learning Together To Be Safe'

·          “Watch Over Me” DVD and presentation


Who should attend:

·          Those that work in collaboration with schools or youth centres delivering creative and collaborative projects

·          Arts/ education  consultants wishing to develop their knowledge about the Prevent Strategy

·          Sports leaders or coaches working with young people 


There are 20 places available and lunch will be provided for attendees.  Some travel costs can be reimbursed. 

If you arrive between 1230 and 1300 you will also have the opportunity to see the exhibition: “Foale and Tuffin: Made in England” on at the Fashion and Textile Museum for free!
