Planning for Action

 2:45 - 3:30

This year's institute includes skill-building workshops, time to problem-solve with other prevention specialists and an update on the status of the state plan. Workshop topics include: social justice root of our primary prevention efforts, social marketing, building youth leadership for primary prevention, evaluating your primary prevention efforts, gender role socialization and bystander work, facilitation skills building and goal selection and strategy development.

The primary prevention institute is free and is limited to the first 60 registrants.  We ask that each agency register only one staff member. Agencies can add additional staff members to the waiting list, and these folks will be contacted by July 17 if there are spaces available. (To be added to the waiting list, please select the “Waiting List” ticket above instead of the “Attendee” ticket.)

Registration has closed, but you can still register for the waiting list. We will continue to offer spots at the institute to people from the waiting list in the event of any registrant cancellations. For more information, please contact Tim Love at 512-474-7190, ext. 16 or tlove@taasa.org.
