Dear Health IT Vendor:
If you are selling to physician practice managers, physicians, hospital CIOs, and other health information technology buyers in Southwest Michigan, you have a new and exciting opportunity to reach your buyers. The Southwest Michigan Physician IT Summit is an educational event organized by ChangeScape, Inc. and co-sponsored by the Michigan Health Information Network (MiHIN) Resource Center. Attendees learn about strategies for successful EHR adoption, implementing EHRs in physician practices, and optimizing existing EHR systems. Attendees will learn about the benefits of Health Information Exchange and efforts at the regional, state and federal levels. ChangeScape, Inc. is organizing the first Southwest Michigan Physician IT Summit for Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Radisson Hotel in Kalamazoo, Michigan – and is the 2008-2010 grant awardee for the Southwest Michigan Health Information Exchange Michigan Department of Community Health project.
The keynote speaker will be Micky Tripathi, president and chief executive officer of the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative, who will speak about the national health IT picture and his state’s experience in physician EHR adoption and data sharing. Attendees will also learn about state and regional efforts to implement health information exchange, and there will be breakout sessions with practical information on how to implement EHRs and case studies of successful projects.
We expect such a program, which has never before been presented in Southwest Michigan, will attract several hundred health care leaders from organizations throughout the region. We have arranged the agenda so that exhibitors will have maximum exposure to the attendees. There will be three hours of unopposed exhibit time in the hotel’s spacious exhibit hall. All meals and breaks will be held in the exhibit hall, ensuring that attendees have every opportunity to see your display. There will also be a conference program with advertising and several other marketing opportunities, which are outlined on the enclosed exhibitor prospectus.
If you are not familiar with Southwest Michigan, it’s a region of the state with more than 1,700 practicing physicians. Our recent survey found that the vast majority of them are in independent practices, and most still have not acquired an electronic health record system. That makes Southwest Michigan an ideal area for your company to market its products at this upcoming conference.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to connect with Southwest Michigan’s decision-makers for health IT purchases. To make it even easier for you to exhibit, we have provided discount pricing on exhibit booths and tables for those who sign up by Sept. 21. Please complete the one-page response form and send it to us today to reserve your space in the exhibit hall.
We look forward to seeing you in Kalamazoo.
