Phoebus Football Players (Past & Present) Reunion / Coach Dee Retirement

Phantom Football Brotherhood,

The Alumni of the Phoebus High School Football team is putting together an "All-Star" going away celebration for Coach Bill Dee on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 6:00 pm. We are asking the Phoebus Football Family and their spouses to come and celebrate this joyous occasion as Coach Dee progresses to the Collegiate Coaching Ranks. We shall and must celebrate the legacy Coach Dee has built as he continues his pursuit of turning “Boys into Men". The evening will be capped off with dinner (Buffet Style), an awards presentation, social networking and conclude with a few moments to reflect on special memories with your fellow brethren.

This event is targeted for former Phoebus Football Alumni & their spouses/significant others only (Please no children)! The school is also planning a going away for Coach Dee but we (Football Alumni) desire to do something separate from the school to show our appreciation for his dedicated leadership/service for approximately twenty three years.

The event will be held at the Virginia Baseball Academy 1322 LaSalle Ave #A
Hampton, VA 23669 (Located near the YMCA off of LaSalle Avenue). This event is partially sponsored as a courtesy of Mr. Wayne Gomes (PHS Alumnus 1990). Please visit Wayne’s website for more information about some of the services his organization provides to potential athletes in the Tidewater (

To pay for this event we are asking all former players to donate $50 to support this event. Yes, there is a recession amongst us but people usually find a way to pay for things they truly want or desire. This will also give you a chance to reminisce with former players that you haven't seen or spoke with in many years!) The money will be used to pay for the dinner, the awards, and potentially a Collector's item "Team Me" T-Shirt. Our goal is to have all money collected by May 14th to ensure the planning committee has everything it needs for a successful event on May 16th. This will also help us determine how many people plan on attending the Dinner and for Gift purposes. Please contact Kevin at 571-221-7013 if you need to make other arrangements. Just to repeat, please get all money sent in by May 14th.(Thanks in advance :-))

For current Phoebus Football players & Phoebus players rostered c/o 2005 - 2010, please see Coach Dee's wife at the school for your tickets ASAP!

**Please note that purchasing tickets / Rsvp is imparative so that we can properly plan for food, seating, and accomodations.

Everyone PLEASE come out and celebrate the legacy that Coach Dee has built for the Phoebus Football program and most importantly give him the opportunity to see you guys once again! Remember WE ALL contributed to making this program what it is today!!!

Thanks and we'll see you on May 16th.

If you are in contact with some people that aren't on this list.  Please forward this email to them.
