Mathletics 2009 (York Region)

Mathletics 2009 is a competition designed to create a passion in the application of mathematics in solving day-to-day scientific and engineering problems. Students will be challenged to be active and creative in the use of mathematics.  Different facets of mathematics will be introduced and tested.

There are two levels of competition in Mathletics: Senior for students in grades 7 and 8, and Junior for up to grade 6 (typically grades 5 and 6).  Prizes will be awarded to the best three students in each category and the top five in each event will move on to the Provincial finals on November 28th.

Registration for each level is limited to the first 60 students. Both events are individual events.
