OCTANe and TCVN: Meet the VCs - Raising Money

For this special program, OCTANe and TCVN are joining forces to produce a timely, interactive program on venture capital financing in today’s difficult times.  Two programs for the price of one!  First, this Forum will serve as TCVN’s third, consecutive monthly Forum devoted exclusively to Raising Money.  This Forum will also serve as a continuation of OCTANe’s highly regarded, “Meet the VC” monthly series.

Three local, early-stage, venture capital firms will serve as our panelists. The panel will be moderated by Bart Greenberg, TCVN Chairman, and Luis Vasquez, OCTANe Vice President, LaunchPad.

Like any other TCVN Forum, all entrepreneurs and business owners will be able to take the microphone and pitch their idea, company or business proposal to an audience of entrepreneurs, service providers and angels, as well as our venture capital panelists.

Our panelists will then provide our audience with some background on their funds, as well as answers to such questions as:  What is an attractive deal today?  What do you have to do today to get a VC's attention?  Are deal getting done and, if so, at what cost?  What sector is hot -- and for how long?  What are the deal killers, and how can you avoid them?  Are VCs investing in their own backyard -- or is the grass greener elsewhere?
