North Shore Pediatric Therapy Sensory Showtime!

North Shore Pediatric Therapy and the SPD Foundation Present: Sensory Showtime!

WHEN: Wednesday, October 21st, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

WHERE: North Shore Pediatric Therapy Bucktown Clinic, 1700 West Cortland, Suite 207 | Chicago, IL 60622

In recognition of National Sensory Awareness Month, North Shore Pediatric Therapy is hosting an event to share the latest information on SPD and bring together parents who have common experiences navigating “the system” to arrive at the best solutions for their “sensational” children. Sensory processing disorder (SPD) affects up to 1 in 20 children, yet awareness and understanding of this emerging health issue remains low.

If you are new to SPD or have an interest in supporting the cause, please join us for our Sensory Showtime, which will feature:

  • A screening of “Autistic-Like: Graham’s Story” - an award-winning film on one family’s struggles with the diagnosis & treatment of sensory issues
  • An overview of the latest in diagnosis and therapy from the October 2009 SPD Symposium
  • Q&A session with NSPT occupational therapists
  • An opportunity to meet and talk with other parents with “sensational” kids
  • Information on the SPD Foundation’s efforts to address research, diagnosis and treatment of SPD

Space is limited. For more information please contact
