Planning a project is one thing; managing a project effectively is often something completely different, and with its own set of challenges. Jan Wilson will present tips and tricks that will illustrate a number of ways that schedule comparisons can be made.

Jan Wilson is currently employed as a Project Manager at Food Services of America, assisting with the implementation and administration of the Project Management Office. Jan has a demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization. She has over fifteen years of hands-on project management experience. She also provides a strategic view through ten years of senior management experience. She has led, consulted or trained on product development, software delivery, network infrastructure and process engineering projects at several vibrant organizations.

Ron Askew will provide tips on - Showing and identifying the critical path, showing the critical path with the Gantt Chard Wizard and Impacts to changing the critical path.

Ron is currently working as a PMO Project Manager for Oryon Technologies Development, LLC. In this capacity, Ron is responsible for developing project plans, leading project efforts, establishing the PMO and managing the Operation’s Department portfolio of projects. Ron has worked in the PM arena for the last eight years and is currently the Chapter 5 Team Lead for revising the Standard for Program Management at PMI National. Ron is an advanced MS Project user and has developed schedules for more that twelve years.

Similar in concept to the MCSE certification, the new MCTS and MCITP certifications validate the skills of project managers who are responsible for Managing Projects with Microsoft Office Project 2007 and Office Project Server 2007. Here are some highlights of the new offering:

More than a product certification, the new Office Project 2007 certification suite is designed specifically to help project managers, in all types of business environments, apply the leading project management best practices and methodologies as established by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

The Office Project 2007 certifications are designed to support both the Desktop and Enterprise Project Management (EPM) business environments. This ensures that whatever your customer’s project management responsibilities cover, the Office Project 2007 certification family includes a perfect option for their learning needs.

Take the training from a Partner organization
