Los Angeles Chapter >> Creating a Learning Organization

Program Title:                           Creating a Learning Organization

Speakers:                                  Joseph E. Williamson, President of AirFlite

         Kathy Blume, Southland Industries

Joseph will talk about his experience working with Toyota and cover some lean basics of the Toyota Production System.

Kathy will discuss Lean Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) in the planning and design phases utilizing tools such as Set Based Design, A3s, Knowledge Maps, and Structured Decision Making.  More important to the process is the cultural shift required by the participants and the changing roles of participants in the process.  The process requires the development of a culture of learning and curiosity.    This talk will investigate Lean Project Delivery and lessons learned at the California Prison Receivership Project (CPR).
