The Fine Art of Photo Printing – Where Art Blends with Technology

Join us for an evening that brings art and technology together with a  display of prints from Digital Fusion & the Icon as well as  presentations on technology and art.

Our first presentation comes to us from Josh Bodinet and Terje  Norderhaug of Auticular™. This dynamic duo will explore the world of  stereoscopic photography and lenticular screen printing, a new method  of producing 3D images on paper. The full dimension effect is   viewable without eyeglasses or lasers and can be produced on regular  desktop inkjet printers! Terje and Josh will cover the history,  technology and techniques of Autostereoscopic Photography (also known  as Holographic Photography). Throughout the presentation Josh will  blend in thoughts regarding his experience with marketing works of  Autostereoscopic Photography and the reception of the medium as a  whole. Josh will also be providing a sampling of pieces from his  personal portfolio.

Our 2nd presenter will be Michel Karman. Michel heads A & I Xibit and  is world-renowned as a master printer. His services are in great  demand by many well-known photographers including such masters as  Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Sally Mann, Nan Goldin and Greg Gorman.  Recently, The Corbis Collection invited Michel to hand-select and  print 75 of the archive9s most striking (some never seen before) images,  and give them new life in a special limited-edition presentation,  "The Living Lens: 75 Limited Edition Prints from the Bettmann  Archive." Michel will be talking about his lengthy career and  showcasing the work that has brought him accolades as the master  printer of the master photographers.
