Kansas City Day of Dot Net

The Kansas City .Net User Group will be hosting a Day of .NET on Saturday, December 6th from 8:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. (with prize giveaways from 5:15 - 6:30). It will be held at the Centriq Training Center in Leawood, KS. The day's training will consist of three main tracks: Developer, Architect and SharePoint. Feel free to mix and match, attend half a session, or whatever suits you.

Breakfast and Lunch will be provided during the day, and door prizes will be awarded following the last session. The cost of a day of .NET training? Absolutely FREE. The entire cost of the day will be covered by our sponsors.

Michael Lotter, MCTS, is a SharePoint Solutions Architect for B&R Business Solutions, and travels throughout the United States implementing SharePoint and InfoPath-based solutions. He is an active speaker at East Coast Code Camps and user group meetings, and is a co-author on O’Reilly’s SharePoint 2007: The Definitive Guide. Russell Ball has worked as a developer and architect for over 8 years and currently works for StoreFinancial in Overland Park, KS. He has presented on various topics of interest including Test Driven Development, Rhino.Mocks, Powershell, Castle's Active Record, and ReSharper. In his spare time he runs marathons for fun and maintains a blogs at http://www.caffeinatedCoder.com.
Troy began his professional software development career in 1998 working as an independent contractor. He later transitioned to enterprise IT development as a team lead at a major mid-west financial institution. More recently he has worked with web start-up and medical testing companies. He started development in classic ASP web development, and since 2002, has exclusively worked in .NET. Troy has worked in an Agile software environment for 3 years. Some of his favorite .NET-related technologies include: NUnit, MBUnit, NAnt, MSBuild, CruiseControl, and NHibernate.
Steve Walker is a Senior Consultant for Microsoft Consulting Services in the South Central Region. Steve has been developing enterprise applications for well over a decade and currently specializes in development on the WSS3.0 and MOSS 2007 platforms but has extensive experience in security, infrastructure, Service Oriented Architecture and general .NET Development for the desktop and the web.
Becky Isserman has been a SharePoint Developer, since 2005 when she went through the Portal University with Levi, Ray, and Shoup in Springfield, IL. She is an Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and a Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD). She has been a web designer/developer since she was fifteen hand coding HTML 3.0 websites in NotePad. She enjoys working with SharePoint 2007, because she can perform the roles of administrator, developer, designer, and architect. She has presented at five code camps, two conferences, and three user groups in 2008. She currently lives in Olathe, Kansas for B&R Solutions. She lives with her two cats, Gambit and Rogue, plus her boyfriend, Johnny. Muljadi Budiman is a Software Architect for MiTek Industries Inc.; currently leading the effort to create an Enterprise Production Management System utilizing WPF UI, WCF for tier communication and WF to manage entity tracking. He strives to continually keep up with cutting edge .NET technology.
Rob Kraft has 20+ years of experience coding, designing, and architecting software solutions and managing software development projects. He has co-authored books on SQL Server and taught Microsoft Certification courses on SQL Server and Visual Basic. He currently is self-employed and serving as senior architect and project manager for development of a large web-based product for sale to municipalities. Dru Sellers is the Solution Architect for Federal Home Loan Bank out of Topeka, KS. He has been programming professionally for 8 years and spends most of his time in both VB.Net and C#, MassTransit, the Castle project, and inverts other people's control of his objects.
Jeff Julian is a Managing Partner with AJI Software Inc, a Kansas City-based Microsoft partner and software consulting firm. Prior to joining Archer, Raymond served as an executive at Accenture, where he was responsible for the delivery of large, complex software projects for Fortune 500 companies. He is also a United States Marine Corps officer, and has led the delivery of information systems in support of strategic intelligence assets around the world.
Chris Williams is a Technology Evangelist for Magenic. He is the founder of several .NET User Groups on the east coast, and most recently the Twin Cities XNA User Group and Twin Cities Developers Guild, both in Minneapolis, MN. He is a rabid blogger at BlogusMaximus.net, author of the very popular NINE Questions series and owner of the VB Community site www.ILoveVB.net. His most recent project is the Charity Fragathon, a fundraiser event for Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. He's also a Visual Basic .NET MVP, MCT, MCSD (.NET) Early Adopter, MCAD, freelance game developer, occasional author, tech editor, code camp & user group speaker, vintage arcade game collector and plays a pretty mean guitar in Rock Band. Todd Bleeker, Ph.D. and MVP, is an industry leader in Microsoft-centric software development, specializing in SharePoint products and technologies. Yair was born sleeping on December 28, 1977 at 5AM in Tel Aviv, Israel. His dad claims he never woke up. Yair got his start with computers at the age of 12, when he burned the first family computer playing good ol’e Tetris. Yair served as a paratrooper in an advanced recon unit in the Israeli Defence Force. He completed his tour of duty at the age of 21. From there Yair spent one year in Thialand where he traveled and experienced different cultures. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 2005 with a Bachelor in Computer and Electrical Engineering.
Rob Reynolds is a developer for Federal Home Loan Bank out of Topeka, KS. Rob earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Kansas State University. He has been programming professionally for over 6 years with ASP.NET and other technologies. He is an MCSD for .NET and an officer in the Army Reserve. He is a continuous learner both at work and in other projects.
Shawn McCubbin is an independent Microsoft Dynamics CRM consultant. He is also a member of the adjunct faculty at UMKC Bloch School of Business where he teaches a Seminar course in the MBA Program titled Reality IT. The course is designed to give students a practical perspective where Business and Information Technology intersect. He combines guest speakers, student presentations and lectures to focus on real world business and technology issues.
Timothy Wright is a Software Validation Engineer with CertTech LLC., primarily covering C/C++ and LabView. For the past 4 years ASP.NET development and web technologies using C# and javascript have been his primary interest. Aside from web development he keeps it in the DotNet family with XNA.
Todd Kitta resides in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri, with his beautiful wife, beautiful new daughter, and smelly Boxer (dog, not shorts).
Todd has a background in .NET development, and he has worked with .NET since its initial release in 2002. More recently, Todd’s involvement in business process software such as BizTalk led him to Windows Workflow Foundation, and the development of this book soon followed. Todd also writes articles for technical publications and speaks at local .NET User Group meetings. He is currently employed at a consulting firm in St. Louis called Covenant Technology Partners, which focuses on business intelligence and portal solutions that use Microsoft technologies.
