Infant and Child CPR/First Aid

This CPR course provides training for use with children (ages 1-12) and infant (under age 1) victims in a variety of emergency situations. Students will learn how to recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies.  Course also includes basic first aid skills such as how to treat life-threatening bleeding, burns, musculoskeletal injuries, shock and sudden illnesses.
You’ll learn the following:

  1. Identify how to reduce the risk of injury to infants and children.
  2. Learn how to care for an infant or child who has stopped breathing.
  3. Learn how to care for an infant or child who is choking.
  4. Learn how to give CPR to an infant or child whose heart has stopped beating.
  5. Identify how to use your community9s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system effectively.

American Red Cross CPR Certification is valid for 1 year.

American Red Cross First Aid Certification is valid for 3 years.
