Sept 13th Clean Tech Event

Sept 13th Clean Tech Event

Not since the electric utility industry was fathered by Edison one hundred plus years ago, have investors—and our society at large—shown the great enthusiasm for all things energy-related that has been manifest during the past five years.  Investors are pouring billions of dollars into clean energy; the general public is demanding cleaner energy alternatives—the interest is widespread and worldwide.  As Charlie Rose recently remarked, “energy is becoming the defining issue of our times.”

Come hear what thought-leaders in the energy industry have to say about the trends, opportunities, and drivers shaping the clean energy markets. We are planning a series of presentations to cover investments and new markets opportunities in this fast growing industry.

We are honored to Alfredo Cahuas, Director of Renewable Energy Finance at Evolution Markets Financial Services, and Wes Miller, Vice President of Greenhouse Gas Origination at Evolution Markets, Inc. speak about the state of the clean energy sector, the total investments made year-to-date by VC firms and other institutional investors, and the carbon markets. In addition, Sergio Garcia, Partner at Fenwick & West, will highlight the special legal aspects unique to cleantech companies.
