Dirty Goods formed in 2008 and consists of Antony James smith&devine, James Alexandros T Woodville & Michael Gregory formerly of Indie Rock outfit 'Jump The Underground'.

'The idea was sparked from listening to lots of Chromeo and Prince' explains Woody and singer Antony (commonly known as 'Wylee') adds 'it's mixed with rock and blues roots as that is generally where I come from'.

To date the band have played popular dance nights and venues around the UK including London's 'Forgive Me Lord For I Have Synth', 'Cargo's Free Fridays' and 'Play It By Ear'.

In their first year they have supported the Noisettes and Calvin Harris at Wales's premier music festival Wakestock.

What the press have to say:

'80's influenced electro-pop suggestive of Prince, Chromeo, MRSKRFT and Kanye West; could see this getting picked up'
Noel Gardner, Buzz Magazine, March 2009

'Revel In something Dirty and treat your eardrums to some Dirty Goods this month. Go on you deserve it'
The Voice, March 2009

'This Newport band are making waves with their electro dance rock fusion. Dirty Goods include Woody and Wylee, formerly of Jump the Underground who were dubbed by the NME as 'super scratchy indie-ists'. The four-piece band's influences include Daft Punk, Justice, CHROMEO, Rick James and Prince with other bits and pieces thrown in for good measure. Lead singer Wylee describes their debut single Honest as simply 'an honest tune, it's as honest as it gets'. Woody told us "After Jump the Underground, we were looking to change direction a little with Dirty Goods.” Which is exactly what they have found'.
