Certified athletic trainers are recognized by the American Medical Association as allied health care providers. Through an advanced educational background, athletic trainers are able to provide the professional care, early evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries, and proper medical referral. Athletic trainers provide quality health care, and educate athletes in prevention of injuries.

The five domains of Athletic Training are:

Prevention of athletic injuries

Recognition, evaluation and immediate care of athletic injuries.

Rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries

Health care administration

Professional development and responsibility

Join the Connecticut Athletic Trainers Association Committee on Revenue and participate in its 2nd annual Athletic Training Workshop.  Students will learn the domains of athletic training and gain real experience and practice with Currently Certified Athletic Trainers as well as Current Athletic Training Students.

Parents will also have a chance to speak with Athletic Trainers on a one on one basis and ask questions about the profession and not only learn the health care side of Athletic Training but also the business side of Athletic Training
