An Introduction to Myers Briggs Saturday 17th October 2009 9.30am - 4.30pm

This workshop offers a chance to understand and work with the Myers Briggs Type Indicator®, one of the world's most popular personality typing systems. It provides a fun and informative way of learning about yourself and others.

The MBTI® is based on the work of Katharine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers, who utilised and built on Carl Jung's theory of psychological types, to create a system for understanding and valuing differences between people.

The system is currently used in widely differing contexts, from career choices to conflict resolution through to leadership, team building and group process facilitation, as well as extensively in personal and professional development.

This highly experiential workshop is designed for anyone working with people - therapists, facilitators, trainers, social workers - and will be of interest to everyone else - individuals, couples, families and groups, who want to live and work together with increased understanding and tolerance of what can sometimes seem incomprehensible differences!

All participants will complete an online questionnaire in advance of the day - details on application.

The workshop will be led by Joanne Garner PTSTA(P), MSc, MCIPD. Joanne is principal of Coaching and Counselling Consultancy, and a Registered Practitioner with MBTI® for over twenty years. She is highly experienced in using the instrument and applying it in the different settings of organisations and private practice.
