About Teb's Troops
Teb's Troops, Inc., was established in August 2005 by Tanya Bowman, Amy Campbell, Sarah Fischer, Jennifer Schoen Gilbert, and Nadine McSpadden to honor their friend Tricia E. Black, or "Teb," who was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic melanoma in May 2005.
Already, Teb's Troops is on its way to becoming an international organization with a network of well over 25,000 followers spanning the globe. In 2005 alone, during its first 5 months in existence, Teb's Troops raised over $15,000 to direct to the fight against cancer, including melanoma.
Teb's Troops does not provide funds directly to individuals. Instead, it distributes the funds raised through special events and the generosity of individual and corporate donors through donations to non-for-profit organizations who fund treatment, prevention, and research of cancer, including melanoma.
