A diverse & innovative gathering

For the past 6 years a diverse group of people from all over the US have been gathering each summer in Boston to connect with the ever-expanding Blue Ocean Faith Network in order to innovate, to share ideas, to be inspired and to dream about seeing greater spiritual experience occur within the wider secularizing culture. Whether they are pastors, church leaders, people of faith, artists, cafe owners, musicians, business people, baristas or teachers, they share a common passion: to see spiritual revival take place in and among our secularizing society by building robust communities of faith and by engaging directly with culture thorugh creative means.

This year is going to be an extraordinarily empowering gathering with some experienced faith practitioners sharing what they are learning on the ground as they implement innovative strategies and engage directly with culture.  We will have the opportunity to glean from what is actually working in and among culture and be inspired as to how this can significantly encourage our own faith journey and the spiritual communities we are part of.  We will also spend lots of time dreaming together about the future of faith and how we can continue to work together in synergistic union to live out God's dreams in our daily lives!

What has been people's experience?

"Exciting and cutting edge!"

"I walked away feeling empowered from the
conference--literally. It wasn't just a bunch of info...
I actually felt faith and a surge of empowerment."

"Each year I attend, my thinking is challenged and I am pushed a little further out of the box.  This is good!"

"It felt like we built real community
by having a space to talk about this
approach to faith and church
that isn't happening anywhere else."

"I will always come back for the people."

What is Blue Ocean Faith?

Blue Ocean Faith is a as a network of like-minded people of faith and church leaders asking big questions about how following Jesus might find relevance in settings where very few people are churchgoing. Our dream is to help foster revival in the secularizing west by encouraging potent spiritual direction among all people, regardless of background and to help connect people to each other and create communities centered on this idea.

Our dream at Blue Ocean Faith is to encourage any faith community and / or individual interested in more fully engaging with the wider secularizing culture about questions of ultimate meaning, centered on Jesus. We work with any Jesus-centered church, across denominations, in partnership with existing denominations, as well as with independent groups.
